Learn the latest updates about the Fort Ord Environmental Cleanup at the Community Involvement Mobile Workshop & Open House! Information tables lead by our technical staff will be available to discuss the latest cleanup efforts taking place on the former Fort Ord.
After learning about the cleanup at the open house, hop on a FREE bus tour and see parts of the former Fort Ord that are currently restricted to the public.

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry will provide an update regarding their re-evaluation of 1985-1994 drinking water exposures at Fort Ord.
Bus Tour Information:
There will be a two bus tour times available:
Tour 1: 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM*
Tour 2: 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM*
*Please note: Bus tour return times are approximate.
During each tour time, there will be two buses available. Each bus will have its own route.
Bus 1 will tour the Fort Ord Impact Area. This is the area of Fort Ord that is fenced off and currently closed to the public. Munitions cleanup work is still being conducted.
Bus 2 will visit the Fort Ord Operable Unit 2 Landfills, and then tour the northern portion of the Fort Ord National Monument.
Sign-ups are not required but are highly encouraged. Seating is limited! Signing-up will reserve your seat on the bus. Community members who haven’t signed up are still welcome to join the tour if there are any open seats available. When signing up, please note which tour time (10:00 AM or 11:30 AM) and which tour you would like to take (Bus 1 or Bus 2)
