2026 Prescribed Burn

Prescribed Burn Postponed to 2027.

The Army will not conduct a prescribed burn in 2026. The Army has been implementing early coordination of various aspects of burn preparation, however, it is now unlikely that all resource and site preparations could be completed by the September-October timeframe. The Army will prepare again for the Unit A burn during the 2027 or later burn season. Due to habitat conservation considerations, the burn season at Fort Ord is July to December.
